What drew me into painting this scene was the incredible contrast of water, sky and boat, hence the title "Contrasts Of The Day".<BR><BR> The water in this painting depicts the up-welling of color produced by the wake of the boat I was on, Bottom Line, contrasted against the stormy surf as the Chippewa, Newport RI, plows it's way towards Nantucket.
